My Umbrella Stroller Setup

Posted in Baby Gear at 1:10 am by bitsypieces

So I wrote quite a few posts about the stroller and accessories I ordered to make errands and travel more convenient. Well, here’s my new setup:

As you can see, it’s  a bit bigger than the typical cheap-o umbrella stroller, but it does have a lot of nice features (the mesh storage basket is hidden from view in this picture), including a detachable and adjustable canopy.

This picture shows a nice view of my Skip Hop Saddlebag, which holds enough for a diaper change or two, a couple of small toys, some odds/ends, plus a sippy cup. It allows me to use this stroller without lugging around a big diaper bag, which I totally appreciate.

The cupholder accessory on the stroller handles doesn’t work as well as I’d like, but it’s ok for now.

Overall, I think my setup gives me and Baby all my basic needs in a compact and convenient package.

How far back does the stroller recline?

Not far… maybe 2 or 3 inches. It’s enough for my 9-month old to get comfortable enough to nap, though, and she’s a fussy sleeper. 🙂

I really like the colour. Mine doesn’t go too far back either but enough for a nap as well. I’ve discovered there is no one perfect stroller, it’s good to have umbrella ones like this for quick outings, and “suv” strollers for longer day trips, or whenever they might be more useful. . .now I am thinking of getting a jogging stroller, even(!!) so I could run with her. .. but then what if I have another child in a year or so and need to get a double stroller?

Seriously, every parent needs like 4 or 5 strollers just to be set. It’s ridiculous 🙂
