New Year’s Resolutions

So we all make New Year’s resolutions, right?  Well, maybe not all of us.  But I do.  And since experts say we have a better chance of reaching our goals if we first write them down, I’m posting my resolutions here for everyone to see:

HEALTH

1.  Lose 12 pounds by May. (That’s less than 1 pound per week, so it’s a realistic goal.)

2.  Eat 5 servings of fruits/veggies per day. (That’s just the minimum recommended by health experts. I’m hoping to actually eat more.)

3.   Exercise at least 4 times per week. (Not so easy with a little baby, but I’m going to make every attempt to meet this goal!)

CAREER

4.  Write 500 words per day (on either a novel or short story).

5. Write an Associated Content article at least once per week.

PERSONAL

6.  Attend church services at least twice per month.

7.  Say something kind to Hubby at least once per day.

8.  Implement a 7-day wait period before making purchases of non-necessities. (Hopefully this will decrease some of my spending on crap.)

9.  Eliminate curse words from my vocabulary. (Pretty soon Baby is going to really start listening to the words I’m saying.)

10.  Eat all meals at a table (not on sofa).

11.  Begin Tactical Combat classes.
